Vikram joined the Balance Family Law team in September 2025 as a Legal Assistant and, following the completion of his Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Bahasa Indonesia) at the Australian National University (ANU) in 2025, transitioned to the role of Law Graduate.
In his role, Vikram supports the lawyers across a diverse range of family law matters, assisting with legal research, drafting, case preparation and file management. He works closely with clients to ensure that matters progress thoughtfully and with care.
Vikram’s passion for family law was ignited during his studies and is driven by the opportunity to work in an area of law that can foster positive change in people’s lives. He particularly enjoys that no two clients or circumstances are the same, and that family law requires creative thinking and a tailored approach to help clients work towards a fresh start.
Outside of work, Vikram volunteers with Headspace Canberra as a member of its Youth Reference Group, working alongside young Australians to help shape the delivery of mental health services for young people. This experience has strengthened his appreciation of the importance of centring clients’ wellbeing. Vikram also enjoys participating in community musical theatre productions and, when he has the chance, curling up with a good book.
