Last week, we posted about our 5 โnon-negotiablesโ (aka the NNs), which are the things that we will not negotiate on. They follow our values and principles and define what we will and wonโt accept from others and from ourselves.
Our first NN is really about working with purpose – ๐๐ฐ๐ฆ๐ด ๐ช๐ต ๐ฃ๐ณ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ฑ๐ณ๐ฐ๐ง๐ช๐ต ๐ฐ๐ณ ๐ซ๐ฐ๐บ?
Itโs all about being DISCERNING about the work we do.
When we make the right choices about the work we take on, we are able to help more people, add more value and create better experiences and solutions for our ideal clients. If we take on work that is not aligned with our goals and purpose, our ability to work smart is compromised.
With discernment, we make good choices for ourselves and our business, and that has a flow-on effect. It brings profit and very often a sense of joy and accomplishment.
Sometimes that means we canโt take on all the work and some clients are not a good fit for us. Ultimately, we want to do work that brings out the best in us and the best in those we work with.
